The Premier Midwest Contractor

Weigand Construction traces its roots back to 1906 when stonesman Henry Weigand began installing and repairing many of Fort Wayne, Indiana’s brick sidewalks. Four generations later, Larry Weigand has led the company to annual revenues of more than $300 million and positioned it as one of the premier commercial general contractors in the Midwest by expanding operations in Ohio and Michigan.

Delivering Dreams

At Weigand, every project begins and ends with asking the question: “How does the client feel?” For us, each job is more than just a building. We say that because for each client we serve, there’s a different story to tell. For many, it’s a dream that took years of fundraising, consideration, and planning just to begin.

Groundbreaking Ceremony

No matter the industry we’re operating in, Weigand specializes in actively listening to clients, anticipating and exceeding what they’re hoping to get out of a construction project.

Clarity, Communication, Commitment

Our “Client for Life” philosophy earns the loyalty of like-minded, value-sensitive clients. We do this by delivering on our commitments, doing what we say we’re going to do, approaching with honesty and transparency, and running to problems instead of avoiding them.

By concentrating on the details that distinguish our work from other commercial general contractors, we’re building more than better solutions — we build success. It all goes back to our motto: Trust. Well Built.

Delivery Methods

We offer a range of delivery methods to provide you with the services you need and exclude the ones you don’t. If you’re not sure which one best suits your project, give us a call. We’ll help you find the approach that works for you.

When using CMc or CMAR, we engage with you, the owner, and work closely with the design team prior to our construction phase. We provide valuable input and recommendations about the design, materials, schedule, and budget to ensure a successful, cost-effective project before it’s even time to break ground. Whether you’re making use of CMAR in Ohio, or CMc in Indiana, we have a solution that sets you up for success and take full, contractual responsibility for the on-time completion of your project.

If you already have a good grasp of what you’re looking for, the Design Build option may work best for you. Design Build allows the client to have us take an already-developed concept, complete the detailed design, and, after final client approval, proceed with construction. This model creates collaboration early into the design process, reduces costs, and provides faster turnaround, all without the loss of function.

As a commercial general contractor, we supply the material, labor, equipment, and services necessary to complete your project. We make use of our own skilled tradesmen whenever possible to ensure quality and timeliness in project completion. This is a fundamental reason for our reputation for high-quality work, and it’s why so many clients come back to us time and time again.

Under this model, the project manager acts as an objective third-party supervisor to assist the client in overseeing design, providing quality assurance measures, and making decisions throughout the project. The Agency Construction Management delivery method puts our project manager in your corner so you have all the advantages of our expertise working for you.

In-House Building Information Modeling (BIM)

BIM is a form of computer-aided design (CAD) that generates a 3D model of a building based on its blueprints. This service allows the architect, contractor, and client to manage the full cycle of a project — from conception to construction, all the way to completion. Giving our project team the ability to adjust designs and fix structural flaws prior to construction, it’s an indispensable part of the decision-making process for us and our clients.
